Dana Waldman

Chief Executive Officer

Dana Waldman currently serves as Chief Executive Officer at Quokka, where he is responsible for overseeing the company’s general operations and growth.

Prior to Quokka (formerly Kryptowire), he forged a 30-year career in the technology industry, building and leading business ranging from aerospace and telecom to network security and SaaS. He has built businesses from the ground up to those valued at over $1 billion and has spearheaded significant developments working with firms such as Apple, GE Medical, Loral, Lockheed-Martin, and many more. Today, he regularly advises leading Silicon Valley venture capital firms, and often acts as CEO and board member for portfolio investment vehicles.

Dana has a passion for higher education and has sat on several boards, including Tulane University (School of Science and Engineering) and Golden Gate University, where he served as Chair of the Board. At Golden Gate University, he has also served as an adjunct faculty member since 2002, where he specializes in business strategy and planning, leadership critical thinking skills, and other key academic areas.

Angelos Stavrou, PhD

Founder and Chief Science Officer

Dr. Stavrou currently serves as Chief Science Officer at Quokka, where he is responsible for research and development initiatives.

Prior to Quokka (formerly Kryptowire), he served as principal investigator on research awards from NSF, DARPA, IARPA, DHS, and several other governmental and regulatory authorities. He is an active member of the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Mobile Security team and has written more than 125 peer-reviewed conference and journal articles. He is a NIST guest researcher, member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and USENIX, and a senior Institute of Electronics and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) member. He has won several awards for his academic work, including multiple Outstanding Research Awards (2010, 2016, 2018) from George Mason University’s Department of Computer Science, as well as IEEE’s Reliability Society Engineer of the Year award.

Dr. Stavrou’s current research interests include security and reliability for distributed systems, security principles for virtualization, and anonymity with a focus on building and deploying large-scale systems.

Janki Patel

Senior Vice President, Finance

Janki Patel is Senior Vice President of Finance at Quokka, where she is responsible for all company’s financial management functions, including accounting and control, audit, treasury, tax, corporate finance and investor relations. She also oversees IT and facilities

Prior to joining Quokka (formerly Kryptowire), Janki spent more than 20 years in financial management, business leadership and corporate strategy. Most recently, Janki was Head of Finance at Volterra which was acquired by F5 Networks. Before that Janki was Senior Director of Finance at AT&T which she joined post its acquisition of AlienVault. She has also held positions at Juniper Networks, McAfee and Siebel Systems.

Ted Wolcott, PhD

Chief Strategy Officer

Ted Wolcott serves as the Chief Business Development Officer at Quokka, where he is responsible for business development, global partnerships, and strategy.

Prior to joining Quokka (formerly Kryptowire), Ted served as an experienced technology executive building successful businesses in Silicon Valley. His 25-year experience spans a wide range of industries and technologies, from novel HR and medical products to high-speed wireless transmission equipment to advanced signal processing solutions for the US Government. He has extensive experience in business development, technology licensing, and developing winning strategies for small businesses and large corporations.

Chris Gogoel

Vice President, Program and Product Management

Chris Gogoel currently serves as Executive Program Manager at Quokka, where he is responsible for building strategic processes and managing programs across multiple lines of the business to ensure the company meets its strategic goals.

Prior to joining Quokka (formerly Kryptowire), Chris spent seven years focused on Android & iOS security operations. His experience includes the development of automated mobile application testing tools for DARPA and DHS, as well as providing multi-disciplinary and multi-departmental product and program management support and overseeing the development and roadmap for mobile security products.

Matt Lantinga

Vice President of Global Sales

Matt Lantinga currently serves as the Vice President of Global Sales at Quokka, where he is responsible for managing a world-class revenue team, creating outstanding customer experiences, and expanding the organization’s global presence.

Matt brings 18 years of application security experience to Quokka, including specialty experience in leadership, sales, customer success, professional services, and engineering. He began his application security career at SPI Dynamics in 2004, where he served as Director of Customer Services. He then served in leadership roles with HP, Veracode, and WhiteHat Security. Prior to joining Quokka, Matt served as Vice President of Sales, Global Strategic Accounts for NTT Application Security until the company’s acquisition by Synopsys.

As a leader, Matt excels at creating and expanding revenue streams in highly competitive marketplaces, as well as building high-performing, cross-functional teams. He is passionate about working closely with customers to define opportunities, identify constraints, and deliver rapid and sustainable value in the face of complex security challenges.

Jaime Le

Vice President, Marketing

Jaime Le currently serves as Vice President of Marketing at Quokka, where she is responsible for overall marketing, including marketing and communications strategies and efforts in order to strengthen the company’s market position.

Jaime brings more than 20 years of experience building programs for B2B and B2C companies. Prior to joining Quokka (formerly Kryptowire), Jaime served in diverse marketing leadership roles within the tech space. She has held positions at Synopsys, Inc. McAfee, Intel Corporation, and Yahoo!. Most recently, she served as Senior Director, Head of External Communications at McAfee, where she was responsible for all aspects of external communications from digital media to public relations and brand strategy, cultivating and deepening relationships with media, analysts, influencers, partners and customers, as well as reimagining the core processes and practices for market engagement.

Hieu Nguyen

Vice President, Human Resources and Operations

Hieu Nguyen currently serves as Vice President of Human Resources and Operations at Quokka, where she is responsible for creating innovative ways to engage all employees and establishing the culture, systems, and training that will develop leaders and empower employees to solve problems.

Prior to joining Quokka (formerly Kryptowire), Hieu gained deep experience across a full set of HR functions with private, global, and startup organizations. She led AlienVault and Fortify Software’s global human resources teams. As an HR leader, she is entrusted with creating a work environment that people look forward to.

Hieu holds a Bachelor’s in Network Telecommunications Management and a Human Resource Management Certification from the San Jose State University. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
