Leadership
Prior to Quokka (formerly Kryptowire), he forged a 30-year career in the technology industry, building and leading business ranging from aerospace and telecom to network security and SaaS. He has built businesses from the ground up to those valued at over $1 billion and has spearheaded significant developments working with firms such as Apple, GE Medical, Loral, Lockheed-Martin, and many more. Today, he regularly advises leading Silicon Valley venture capital firms, and often acts as CEO and board member for portfolio investment vehicles.
Dana has a passion for higher education and has sat on several boards, including Tulane University (School of Science and Engineering) and Golden Gate University, where he served as Chair of the Board. At Golden Gate University, he has also served as an adjunct faculty member since 2002, where he specializes in business strategy and planning, leadership critical thinking skills, and other key academic areas.

Prior to Quokka (formerly Kryptowire), he served as principal investigator on research awards from NSF, DARPA, IARPA, DHS, and several other governmental and regulatory authorities. He is an active member of the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Mobile Security team and has written more than 125 peer-reviewed conference and journal articles. He is a NIST guest researcher, member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and USENIX, and a senior Institute of Electronics and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) member. He has won several awards for his academic work, including multiple Outstanding Research Awards (2010, 2016, 2018) from George Mason University’s Department of Computer Science, as well as IEEE’s Reliability Society Engineer of the Year award.
Dr. Stavrou’s current research interests include security and reliability for distributed systems, security principles for virtualization, and anonymity with a focus on building and deploying large-scale systems.

Prior to joining Quokka (formerly Kryptowire), Janki spent more than 20 years in financial management, business leadership and corporate strategy. Most recently, Janki was Head of Finance at Volterra which was acquired by F5 Networks. Before that Janki was Senior Director of Finance at AT&T which she joined post its acquisition of AlienVault. She has also held positions at Juniper Networks, McAfee and Siebel Systems.

Prior to joining Quokka (formerly Kryptowire), Ted served as an experienced technology executive building successful businesses in Silicon Valley. His 25-year experience spans a wide range of industries and technologies, from novel HR and medical products to high-speed wireless transmission equipment to advanced signal processing solutions for the US Government. He has extensive experience in business development, technology licensing, and developing winning strategies for small businesses and large corporations.

Prior to joining Quokka (formerly Kryptowire), Chris spent seven years focused on Android & iOS security operations. His experience includes the development of automated mobile application testing tools for DARPA and DHS, as well as providing multi-disciplinary and multi-departmental product and program management support and overseeing the development and roadmap for mobile security products.

Prior to joining Quokka (formerly Kryptowire), Hieu gained deep experience across a full set of HR functions with private, global, and startup organizations. She led AlienVault and Fortify Software’s global human resources teams. As an HR leader, she is entrusted with creating a work environment that people look forward to.
Hieu holds a Bachelor’s in Network Telecommunications Management and a Human Resource Management Certification from the San Jose State University. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
